Corporate PPAs
With the gradual transition from FIT to FIP and increasing demand for renewable power, the corporate PPA market in Japan is growing rapidly. With our CPPA module you can track all publicly disclosed deals, as well as the stakeholders involved.
FIT/FIP Auctions
Initially the government set fixed FIT prices. Since FY2017, however, the FIT (and later FIP) prices for selected asset categories have been decided through renewable energy auctions. This module tracks the auctions, successful bids, and successful bidders.
Subsidies
In addition to the FIT and FIP schemes that subsidize renewable generation, the Japanese government also offers a variety of other subsidies for promoting decarbonization. Look through our Subsidies module to see if there are any that apply to your business.
Offshore Wind
To reach its decarbonization targets, Japan heavily relies on significant growth of offshore wind generation. Use our Offshore Wind module to keep track of the areas designated by the government as having potential and of projects that are underway.
Nuclear Power Plants
With the gradual transition from FIT to FIP and increasing demand for renewable power, the corporate PPA market in Japan is growing rapidly. We track all publicly disclosed CPPAs, maintaining an up to date database of deals and stakeholders.
FIT/FIP
While power plants under the feed-in-tariff scheme currently make up the vast majority of renewable capacity in Japan, the country is transitioning to a feed-in-premium system. Our FIT/FIP module keeps track of prices, auctions, asset owners, and more.
Power Supply and Demand
This module tracks Japan's hourly power supply and demand. In addition to being able to see the overall supply and demand, it also allows our members to dissect it by TSO area and power supply source.
