JEPX January 2025 membership updates: 4 power and 9 NFC trading members join

In January 2025, four companies joined the Japan Electric Power Exchange (JEPX) as power trading members and 9 companies joined as non-fossil certificate (NFC) trading members. No members left the exchange. With that, as of the end of the month, JEPX membership stood at 328 power and 523 NFC trading members.

The four companies that joined as power trading members include (the date in parentheses indicates the day the company was added to the list of members on JEPX’s website):

  • KMenergy Co., Ltd. (January 24, 2025)
  • Mercuria Energy Trading Japan LLC (January 7, 2025)
  • Nippon Green Energy Aggregate Co., Ltd. (January 20, 2025)
  • Nippon Kayaku Co.,Ltd. (January 29, 2025)

The companies added during the month as NFC trading members included both companies on the supply and retail side, as well as offtakers sourcing renewable power:

  • Ariake Energy Co., Ltd. (January 8, 2025)
  • Clean Energy 3 LLC (January 31, 2025)
  • Dai-ichi Life Insurance (January 30, 2025)
  • Duskin Co., Ltd. (January 15, 2025)
  • Isesaki Gas Co., Ltd. (January 22, 2025)
  • J-SOLAR Co., Ltd. (January 10, 2025)
  • KDDI (January 24, 2025)
  • Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (January 27, 2025)
  • Tsuno Town Future Energy Co., Ltd. (January 31, 2025)
