NTT Urban Development will use the power at four of its properties.

NTT Urban Development signed a 9MW solar off-site corporate PPA with NTT Anode Energy, the companies announced on March 26, 2025. Both are wholly-owned by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT), the former through its wholly-owned subsidiary NTT Urban Solutions.

Under the PPA, approximately 10GWh per year generated at an undisclosed number of NTT Anode Energy solar power plants will be delivered to NTT Urban Development’s properties from April 2025 through Ennet, a retailer NTT Anode Energy owns jointly with Tokyo Gas and Osaka Gas. The long-term agreement’s duration has not been disclosed but is likely to be 20 or more years.

The power will be used at four NTT Urban Development assets in Tokyo and Nagoya including the Shinagawa Season Terrace (annual consumption of approximately 17GWh), Urbannet Nagoya (7GWh), and Urbannet Nagoya Nexta (4GWh) office buildings, and the WITH HARAJUKU (4GWh) mixed-use facility. It will account for about a third of their combined consumption. The remainder will be covered by renewable energy certificates sourced elsewhere.

Japan Energy Hub’s PPA database shows NTT Anode Energy disclosed multiple, primarily off-site, PPAs in the past including a 2.8MW agreement with its group company NTT Docomo.

NTT Urban Solutions aims to cover all power used by NTT Urban Development-owned buildings by renewable generation by the end of FY2025.
