- Green Energy Frontier, a 50/50 joint venture between Tokyo Gas and Narita International Airport Corporation established on April 1, 2023, will develop a solar power plant on the rooftop of Narita Airport’s No. 8 Cargo Building
- Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokyo Gas, will provide O&M services
- Construction is expected to finish by June 2024 with the plant being commissioned the following month
- The generated power is expected to cover 16% of the building’s consumption
- The 2MW power plant is the first step toward Green Energy Frontier’s target of installing 180MW-worth of solar power plants at Narita Airport by the end of FY2045
