- Shizen Energy built a new solar power plant on unused farmland in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, and sells the generated renewable energy credits to Microsoft
- The generated power is sold in the wholesale market with Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions as an aggregator
- The financing was arranged by Societe Generale and the power plant is majority-owned by Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec
