K-Power Supply, a wholly owned subsidiary of ORIX, will build a solar power plant on Osaka Itami Airport’s terminal rooftop in Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture
The generated power is expected to account for approximately 3% of the airport’s consumption and lead to 270 tons per year CO2 emission reduction
The project is supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s Civil Aviation Bureau’s FY2023 “Airport Decarbonization Promotion Project (Equipment Introduction Support)” subsidy
