- Chubu Electric Power Miraiz will procure power from newly constructed solar power plants in Shizuoka and Mie prefectures and supply it to Merck’s Shizuoka Branch in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture
- Once fully operational, the PPA will account for approximately 30% of Merck’s semiconductor research and production-related power consumption and is expected to lead to approximately 1,315t-CO2 per year emission reduction
- Some of the power plants that will be part of the PPA will be agrisolar
