- 15 companies in Shizuoka Prefecture will install solar panels on the rooftops of their facilities as part of this project coordinated by Chubu Electric Power Miraiz; excess generation from the facilities will be supplied to other participating facilities
- Some of the companies will only procure excess power while others will only supply excess power, some will do both:
- Only procure excess power: Suzuki, Somic Ishikawa, Yamaha Motor, Rohm Hamamatsu
- Procure and supply excess power: DOWA Metanix, Hamamatsu Photonics, Yamaha
- Only supply excess power: Aizen, IO Industry, Enshu, Cataler, Kurabe, Koken Kogyo, Koritu, Koyama Seiki
- On May 8, 2025, Aizen and Suzuki commissioned the first on-/off-site hybrid arrangement within the larger project; Chubu Electric Power Miraiz installed a 341kWDC system at Aizen’s Ozawato-Higashi Factory in Hamamatsu City and is supplying excess power to Suzuki’s headquarters
- Generation is expected to be about 390MWh/year with 151MWh being used by Suzuki and 239MWh by Aizen
- The PPA is expected to lead to 2,500t-CO2/year emission reduction
