- Araigumi will build two floating solar power plants on reservoirs in Hyogo Prefecture (No. 1 Reservoir in Kakogawa City and Joya Shinike in Ono City) and supply the generated power to JR West via Kansai EPCO
- JR West will use the power for the operation of its Nara Line
- The PPA is supported by METI’s FY2024 “consumer-led introduction of solar power generation” subsidy
- The PPA is expected to lead to 1,500t-CO2/year emission reduction
