Description

Wind curtailment rates represent the ratio of potential wind output in the given time period curtailed to the sum of the curtailed output and actual output, expressed in percent. The figures are based on 30-minute supply and demand data published by each area’s TSO.

For example, if 200 MWh of wind output in Kyushu was curtailed on May 5, 2025, and the wind generation on the day was 800 MWh, then the daily wind curtailment rate would be 200 ÷ (800 + 200) = 20%.
