NTT Anode Energy signed a virtual PPA with Duskin, the company announced on January 28, 2025.

As part of the PPA, NTT Anode Energy is expected to start supplying non-fossil certificates generated at newly developed solar power plant(s) with an output of 4.8MW to the cleaning services and rental company from February 1, 2025. Duskin’s subsidiaries Ono Duskin, which runs a doormat factory in Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture, and Wakura Duskin, which runs a mop factory in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, will use the certificates.

Approximately 5.5GWh is expected to be supplied each year. Once the PPA is operational, Duskin expects to be procuring enough certificates to cover the two factories’ entire consumption.

NTT Anode Energy has been involved in a number of other corporate PPAs prior to announcing this deal. Among others, it signed PPAs with Seven & i Holdings, NEC Platforms, and its group company NTT Docomo.
