Remixpoint’s fifth grid-scale battery storage project, the 2MW/8.32MWh NC Tottori City Ketakacho No. 2 Power Storage Station, began participating in the balancing market on October 28, 2026, the company announced on the same day.
According to the statement, the asset was connected to the grid on June 30, 2026, and uses battery systems supplied by NEXTES. Citing conditions in the region, Remixpoint said it expects the project to generate about 15 million yen in monthly revenue compared to the approximately 20 million yen of its other four assets trading in the balancing market.
NC Tottori City Ketakacho No. 2 Power Storage Station, which is located in the Chugoku TSO area, follows three projects in Tohoku and one in Kyushu. The assets entered the balancing market between March and June 2026, with the gap from grid connection ranging from about three weeks to over five months.
The TSE Standard-listed company’s portfolio comprises 12 approximately 2MW/8MWh grid-scale battery storage projects including five with full economic interest and seven held through NC Pioneer, a joint venture with Nippon Chikudenchi. Six of those were connected to the grid, with the remaining six scheduled to do so in phases by July 2027.
Remixpoint said it targets developing 48 high-voltage assets by the end of FY2028, including 25 to be held in its portfolio.
