The golf course appears to have been acquired by the company last year.

Kamisato Kensetsu launched the environmental impact assessment process for an up to 94MWAC/151.78MWDC solar project in Nakanojo Town, Gunma Prefecture.

According to a primary consideration document made available for public viewing on August 18, 2026, the company plans to build the project at Minohara Country Club. It aims to install approximately 233,500 panels, 650W each, across the 105ha site. Construction is targeted to begin around 2030, with commercial operation commencing about two years later.

While the golf course is currently in operation, corporate registry records obtained by Japan Energy Hub show that all of Minohara Country Club Co.’s directors were replaced on June 27, 2025, with Kamisato Kensetsu’s Representative Director Daisuke Toya being among the newly elected set, suggesting that the developer acquired the country club operator around that time.

The planned power plant is among the largest in Japan. METI data lists just seven solar projects, five of those operational, that were certified under the feed-in-tariff (FIT) and feed-in-premium (FIP) schemes with a larger AC capacity.

To date, Kamisato Kensetsu has focused on developing smaller-scale solar power plants, making the Minohara Country Club its first-known extra high-voltage project. The construction company active in energy reached a 100MW portfolio comprising over 250 assets in September 2024. It has also been active in grid-scale battery storage development and construction.
