The partnership with Rising Corporation is Tensor Energy’s third such tie-up.

Tensor Energy will aggregate low-voltage grid-connected battery storage systems developed by Rising Corporation, the companies announced on July 27, 2026.

According to the statement, the companies target building out a 500-asset portfolio by 2028 and expanding it to 1,000 units by 2030. While capacities and durations of the planned facilities were not disclosed, each is likely to be sized just below the 50kW high-voltage threshold.

Rising Corporation will handle planning, sales, and construction of the projects, including site acquisition, grid connection applications, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). Tensor Energy will be responsible for charge and discharge control and optimizing the assets’ market participation.

The deal follows similar partnerships with LC-JAPAN and Green Road Energy that Tensor Energy disclosed in July 2026. Both of those target 1,000-asset portfolios by 2028.

Rising Corporation has been active in sales and installation of residential and commercial solar and battery storage systems, construction and renovation of energy-efficient housing, and investment in solar power plants and rental apartments. The Tokyo Pro Market-listed company entered into grid-scale battery storage in January 2026 and, in addition to low-voltage projects, has also been developing multiple 2MW/8MWh high-voltage assets.

The Fukuoka-based aggregator manages a portfolio of over 1,000 low-voltage solar power plants. It began offering low-voltage battery storage project aggregation services in April 2026 when such assets became eligible to participate in Japan’s balancing market.

Following a similar trend in solar power plant development, interest in low-voltage grid-connected battery storage has been growing since the April 2026 regulatory change due to the projects’ smaller land requirements and faster grid connection and construction timelines compared with their high- and extra high-voltage counterparts.
