G Three Holdings, a TSE Standard-listed company focused on sustainability solutions, will sell its 1MWAC/1.3MWDC Omaezaki City Shirowa Solar Power Plant in Shizuoka Prefecture to an undisclosed buyer, it announced on May 21, 2025.
The company planned to sign the sale and purchase agreement on the same day, with ownership set to be transferred on May 30, 2025. According to the statement, G Three Holdings acquired the power plant in July 2023 and has been seeking a buyer for it since then. The exact sale price was not disclosed but was noted to be at least 25.9 million yen (10% of last fiscal year’s consolidated sales).
METI data shows the asset was certified under the feed-in-tariff (FIT) scheme in FY2014 and commissioned in 2016. It is operating under a 36 yen per kWh FIT contract expiring in June 2036.
G Three Holdings’ solar business primarily involved purchasing, developing, and selling high-voltage (sub-2MWAC) FIT solar projects. According to METI data, it owns two more operational FIT assets, including in Miyagi (1.5MWAC/1.7MWDC) and Mie (250kWAC/270kWDC) prefectures. Separately, in February 2024, it partnered with Renewable Energy Partners to develop non-FIT agrisolar projects, starting with a 778kWAC plant in Nagano Prefecture.
