Dentsu Group signed virtual PPAs with HEXA Renewables and JDC Corporation’s wholly-owned subsidiary JDC Green Energy to procure about 2GWh of non-fossil certificates (NFCs) annually from newly built solar power plants, the companies announced on October 6, 2026.
According to the statement, the deals were signed on May 18 and September 2, 2026, respectively. The NFCs delivered under the agreements each year are expected to be equivalent to about 3.2% of the group’s 2025 power consumption and will be applied to its sites across Japan.
HEXA Renewables is expected to supply about 1GWh per year from 800kW of solar capacity that is scheduled to begin operation in May 2027. JDC Green Energy plans to deliver a combined 1.11GWh annually from January 1, 2027, using nine 49.5kWAC agrisolar plants developed on abandoned farmland in Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture.
Digital Grid will serve as the retailer and aggregator for the deals, and handle the sales of the power plants’ output into the wholesale market. The assets will operate under the feed-in-premium (FIP) scheme.
HEXA Renewables previously disclosed virtual PPAs with Daicel and Amazon. JDC Corporation, through its separate unit JDC Energy, signed physical offsite deals with Karaksa Hotels Tokyo.
