Energy Concierge acquired land and rooftop space for 10MWDC worth of projects.

Energy Concierge, a group company of Wire Energy focused on the development of renewable generation and BESS projects, acquired the rights to use land and rooftops with grid connection contracts for 10MWDC worth of non-FIT solar power plants, the company announced last week.

The company plans to use the acquired land and rooftop space, all in the Shikoku TSO area, to build power plants between 250kWDC and 2MWDC in three phases. In the first phase, it built 6MWDC before the end of September 2024. In the second phase, it plans to build another 2MWDC by the end of this calendar year and in the third phase, it plans to build an additional 2MWDC by the end of March 2025 (i.e., by the end of fiscal year 2024).

“We are looking for companies that want to increase the proportion of renewable energy sources in their own electricity…, as well as partner companies that support the spread of renewable energy,” said the company’s statement.

Wire Energy is responsible for overall planning and Energy Concierge for the land and rooftop space acquisition process and the power plants’ operation and maintenance (O&M). The Kagawa-based Sanfuku is responsible for the projects’ engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work.

To date, Wire Energy developed approximately 600 power plants totaling 75MW, of which it operates approximately a third. It has also been involved in 950 power plants’ O&M.
