In June 2024, four companies joined the Electric Power Reserve Exchange (EPRX), which runs Japan’s balancing market. With no members leaving during the month, the exchange had 69 members as of the end of June 2024.

The new EPRX members include:

  • MURAOKA PARTNERS Co., Ltd. (June 27, 2024)
  • Q.ENEST Holdings Co., Ltd. (June 21, 2024)
  • Trisolaris Co., Ltd. (June 21, 2024)
  • Zero Watt Power, Inc. (June 6, 2024)

EPRX was established on April 1, 2024, to take over the operation of Japan’s balancing market, which was partially launched in April 2021, from a cooperative of Japan’s nine mainland TSOs.
