JEPX Dec. 2024 membership updates: power trading membership grows by 2, NFC by 9

In December 2024, four companies joined the Japan Electric Power Exchange (JEPX) as power trading members and 10 companies joined as non-fossil certificate (NFC) trading members. Two power trading members and one NFC trading member left the exchange. With that, as of the end of the month, JEPX membership stood at 324 power and 514 NFC trading members.

The four companies that joined as power trading members include:

  • Flying Duck Co., Ltd. (December 23, 2024)
  • i-mobile Co., Ltd. (December 17, 2024)
  • Log Co., Ltd. (December 5, 2024)
  • Osaki Creation Co., Ltd. (December 27, 2024)

The two power trading members that left the exchange include:

  • EF Electric Co., Ltd. (December 15, 2024)
  • Smart Tech Co., Ltd. (December 17, 2024)

The companies added during the month as NFC trading members included both companies on the supply and trading side, as well as offtakers sourcing renewable power:

  • Aizu Energy Co., Ltd. (December 16, 2024)
  • DREAM Private REIT (December 13, 2024)
  • Hibikinada Power Station Co., Ltd. (December 13, 2024)
  • Iwate Prefecture (December 18, 2024)
  • Nihon Kankyokaihatsu LLC (December 11, 2024)
  • Sakata Kyodo Power Co., Ltd. (December 20, 2024)
  • Starts Corporation (December 10, 2024)
  • Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (December 27, 2024)
  • Tsuneishi Corporation (December 20, 2024)
  • Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. (December 20, 2024)

The company that is no longer an NFC trading member of the exchange was Smart Tech Co., Ltd., which was removed from JEPX’s list on December 17, 2024.
