On November 14, 2024, EnBio Holdings’ wholly-owned subsidiary EnBio C Energy commissioned a 3.174MWDC/1.875MWAC rooftop power plant at LogiSquare Fujimino A, a logistics facility in Fujimino City, Saitama Prefecture, owned by CRE.
The power plant, which is the largest operational one in EnBio Holdings’ portfolio to date, is expected to generate 3.49GWh per year. The generated power and the associated renewable energy certificates will be used at the logistics facility through a PPA. “As this solar power generation project involves private transactions, the expected electricity sales amount will not be disclosed,” said the company’s statement.
With the power plant having been feed-in-premium (FIP) certified in January 2024, EnBio C Energy will receive a variable premium on top of the revenues it generates from selling the power and renewable certificates, as well as a subsidy to cover balancing costs.
EnBio C Energy was established in September 2021 as an 85:15 joint venture between EnBio Holdings and CRE with the aim of being “a company focusing specifically on the supply of green power using LogiSquare rooftop access.” EnBio Holdings acquired CRE’s 15% stake in the company in July 2023.
