Pacifico Energy is in the process of developing multiple 100MW-scale projects in Japan.

On November 19, 2024, Pacifico Energy Fuji Miyoshi LLC published the draft of environmental impact assessment method for an up to 90MWAC/135MWDC solar project it is developing in Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

Pacifico Energy plans to construct the project on a 133ha plot of land in Miyoshi City’s Itoimachi district, which served as the Fuji Miyoshi Country Club golf course until December 2023. The project is expected to consist of up to approximately 22,300 605W panels, occupying approximately 63% of the land.

According to the assessment method document, the “Miyoshi City Itoi Solar Power Generation Project” is expected to begin commercial operation at the end of February 2030. Construction is planned to last from October 2027 and last until December 2029.

Pacifico Energy is currently going through the environmental assessment process with at least two other 100MW-scale solar projects including one in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, and one in Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Both are expected to be monetized using corporate PPAs and feed-in-premium (FIP), and the development of both is being financed using a development expenditure (devex) loan provided by Mitsubishi HC Capital and BOT Lease.
